Three student groups and their sponsoring teachers were represented at the Goodrich ISD March Board Meeting. Dr. Aubrey Vaughan, Principal, recognized the Goodrich International Club students and their sponsor, Mrs. Vaughan (who also happens to be their Spanish teacher). International Club members spend time together promoting and participating in cultural activities outside of the regular school day, including a recent trip to the opera!

Art teacher Mr. Betts was present with several of his Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Show award winning students! Their works are currently on display in the Goodrich ISD board room.

Mrs. Pond and her theatre students were awarded medals at Thursday's board meeting for their outstanding performance of "Proposin', " which earned second place at the recent district UIL One Act Play competition and enabled the cast and crew to advance once again to the upcoming bi-district competition for the second year in a row in this third year of the program. Goodrich ISD congratulates these students and teachers on their success! Go Hornets!
La Sra. Pond y sus estudiantes de teatro recibieron medallas en la reunión de la junta directiva del jueves por su destacada actuación de "Proposin'", que obtuvo el segundo lugar en la reciente competencia UIL One Act Play del distrito y permitió al elenco y al equipo avanzar una vez más al próximo competencia bidistrital por segundo año consecutivo en este tercer año del programa. ¡Goodrich ISD felicita a estos estudiantes y maestros por su éxito! ¡Vamos avispones!
