Important Updates for You and Your Children Goodrich ISD will continue to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) for 2024-2025 What does this mean for your child/children? He or she is eligible for FREE BREAKFAST & FREE LUNCH at his/her school this school year. Your child can participate in free breakfast and/or free lunch without having to pay a fee or submit an application. This program helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals. No further action is required by you. ALL MEALS WILL MEET FEDERAL AND STATE REQUIREMENTS Students must take 3 of the 4 items offered at breakfast, and one of those items must be ½ cup of fruit. At lunch, students must take 3 of the 5 components offered, and one of those must be ½ cup of fruit or vegetable. The cafeteria offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables daily. Students who choose to purchase an extra entree or one of our snack options or just milk must pay for the extra items. This program does not apply to a la carte items. Parents, did you know that if your child brings lunch to school from home, he/she can participate in the school lunch program? Encourage your child to explore the options available to him/her daily. Again, the cafeteria offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables each day.
